TRACY JAI EDWARDS (Roan) Tracy Jai is excited to be reading new work with the new Troy Foundry Theatre. Her Broadway credits include Amber Van Tussle in HAIRSPRAY, Serena in LEGALLY BLONDE as well as on MTV, and is Broadway bound as Alison Prager in HALF TIME. She has worked Off-Broadway and regionally/internationally in shows such as THE GRET AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL, Ann-Margaret’s BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, GUYS and DOLLS, GREASE, and many more. TV/FILM credits include TEARS, ODD MOM OUT, LAW and ORDER: SVU, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, WHITE COLLAR, and MERCY to name a few. A million thanks to my incredibly supportive parents, amazing friends, Evan, and Tony for believing in me and inspiring me to always return to my heart!
ERICA TRYON (Nat) is a performer and teaching artist originally from Chicago. She has worked in fringe and experimental theatre in the Chicago area, performing in productions that have been chosen as “Critic’s Choice” in the Chicago Reader and Time Out Chicago. Before coming to the Capital Region, she worked at the cutting-edge arts organization, Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE). Previous to her life in U.S. theatre, she had the privilege of teaching and studying performance in Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Argentina, Mexico, Thailand and Tibet. She is thrilled to be working with the new Troy Foundry Theatre. Regional Theatre: EVERYWOMN, LIKE/UNLIKE (WAM); TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, PETTICOATS OF STEEL, and FRIEND OF A FRIEND (Capital Repertory Theatre); experimental theatre credits in Chicago, IL. CHRISTINA GORMAN (Playwright) Christina's plays have been produced and developed at The Public Theater, American Blues Theater, Alley Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Geva Theatre Center, Summer Play Festival, Hangar Theatre, Capital Repertory Theatre, Playwrights Foundation, Prospect Theatre Company, Samuel French Short Play Festival, New Harmony Project, University of Notre Dame, Theatre Artists Studio, Stageworks/ Hudson, Westport Country Playhouse, Lark Play Development Center, Stella Adler Studios, Berkshire Playwrights Lab, Luna Stage, |the claque|, HotINK International Festival, and New York International Fringe Festival. She is a recipient of TCG’s Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award, American Blues Theater’s Blue Ink Playwriting Award, Samuel French Short Play Festival Award, New York International Fringe Festival Award for Overall Excellence in Playwriting, and runner up for the Princess Grace Award. Christina was an inaugural member of The Public Theater Emerging Writers Group, New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow, Ensemble Studio Theatre New Voices Fellow, Stella Adler Studios Harold Clurman Playwright-in-Residence, Women’s Project Playwright Lab member, and is currently an Artistic Affiliate at American Blues Theater.
YVONNE PERRY (Director) is a professional actress based in both the Capital District and New York. As a director, her credits include shows at UAlbany (My First Time; Circle Mirror Transformation); Siena (How I Learned To Drive; Tartuffe; Spike Heels); and Union College (Boeing Boeing). She has directed several Theatre Voices productions, including RX, Defiance and Outside Mullingar. Yvonne also Assistant Directed for Cap Rep’s production of Outside Mullingar last fall. This winter she will be directing The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at Albany Academy for Girls. Yvonne is an adjunct professor in the Theatre Department at Skidmore College, and has also taught and/or guest lectured at UAlbany, Union, Siena and Adelphi University..
